The T338 Sniper series is designed for those who love off-shore trolling and is geared for the serious anglers targeting Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, big Kingfish, Whahoo, Mackerels, Albacore, Salifish and other bottom dwelling reef fish.
The custom blank is designed to enable fast setting action and minimal stress points on the angler to give the angler more time to tire out a fish while gaining maximum line retrieval efficiency. These models have an ALPs stripper guide and Tip-Top with Japanese Fuji guides. An EVA heavy duty foregrip for ultimate grip and comfort while the Pacific Bay Channel lock reel seat reduces the movement of the reel during a fight and provides better fit for a broader range of reel sizes. The rear grip is a non slip soft grip capped off with a solid Aluminium PB gimbal.
There was a considerable amount of time spent playing around with different components to get the feel and performance right. We were after a slick yet serious looking weapon that would sustain and perform under tournament conditions.
Its a great rod for those who love to chase pelagic’s trolling or bottom bashing with or without bait, there is a model to cover them all.
